Superior’s 25th Year – Continuing the Celebration!
Way back before COVID, we enjoyed hosting gatherings for our staff and clients several times a year. What a great way it was to remind all of us of the difference we really do make in the lives of those we serve.

2026 PA Home Care Advocacy Day!
One of our most important responsibilities as a home care provider and caregiver-focused employer is to continually advocate all the way up to the highest levels for all of our regulators and payers to recognize the critical work our home care staff do every day by reimbursing us at a level that allows us to create real pathways of professionalism in caregiving and living wages to those who do this work.
We are perpetually undervalued in so many ways by the Medicaid payment system, and those in power in our state and at the federal level need to hear, understand and respond in meaningful ways to the crisis perpetual underfunding has created for our caregivers and clients.
Every year our state association, the Pennsylvania Home Care Association, hosts a Home Care Advocacy Day. All agencies across our state are invited to journey to Harrisburg to meet one on one with our elected officials and champion our cause. We at Superior have been making this journey for too many years to even count, and we went again this year.
It’s the voice that never stops talking that eventually gets heard!
Superior boldly begins to integrate AI into its operations!
As we highlighted in our March episode, AI is infiltrating life in many ways already – with no end in sight to the ways it will change our lives in the future.
At Superior, we’ve been exploring the exciting ways AI is evolving into the home care space, specifically in areas where human staff can often get bogged down and overwhelmed, creating bottlenecks in response times, which stresses clients, caregivers and our scheduling staff.
Worse yet, many of these bottlenecks put our scheduling team into a very reactive mode, which limits our ability to be creative, flexible and thoughtful about how we can best support our field staff and our clients. We get stuck putting out daily fires rather than putting our focus and energy on developing the relationships that help us continually grow and expand our services.
A very new and evolving AI powered service is rapidly being integrated into home care operations, and Superior is finally ready to take the plunge!
AI can now provide a virtual scheduling assistant to home care scheduling teams. It is nothing short of amazing! After lots of research and testing this new tool out, we have decided to move forward with Zingage Operator – an AI platform that literally when turned on will handle every call that comes into our office, triaging each call and determining if it can handle the call directly and immediately or if the caller needs escalated to an administrative team member.
With this service, no more leaving a message because you can’t reach our scheduler – every call gets answered and most will be handled by our virtual assistant right away. Calls become more efficient, issues get resolved more quickly and human time can now be spent on the situations that truly need a human touch – like building relationships, onboarding new caregivers, and dealing with the more complex scheduling needs of our clients.
So….time to get ready! Our virtual assistant’s name is Anna, so be prepared for her to start answering your calls soon. We will begin a gradual integration of this service the first week of April, starting with Tuesdays and Thursdays.
